Our Location

Oklahoma  is renowned  for its very diverse weather conditions and experiences all weather type from severe thunderstorms to blizzards and everything in-between. Norman in particular for several decades has served as a world-renowned center of excellence for weather research, operations, and education. The National Weather Center (NWC) exemplifies this excellence as the nucleus of the University of Oklahoma (OU) south campus containing a mix of federal and state meteorological agencies along with several private companies, and the OU School of Meteorology. WDSS has deep roots with the NWC and OU agencies and is proud to be part of this community.

This association gives WDSS a boots-on-the-ground ability to access NWC organization technologies and talent, including recruitment of the talent graduating from OU.
