Indonesia – Badan Meteorologi Klimatologi dan Geofisika (BMKG)

This project involved installation of hardware and software to build out HDSS in the Jakarta Central Forecast Office for BMKG. The BMKG HDSS integrates numerous radars, surface stations, and satellite data to provide BMKG forecasters with advanced nowcasting capabilities including data quality control, radar mosaics, reflectivity prediction, and QPE/QPF. Over the term of the project a total of 36 weather radars from different manufacturers were networked and mosaic’d. A customized web interface was provided for viewing of data and products.
